Joel grew up in central Idaho, where he was taught to love and appreciate the outdoors at a young age. Joel spends his summers guiding in the North Cascades and working with helicopters for the Forest Service.

He has been sharing his love of snow sports through instructing others for 16 years. It wasn't until Joel turned 23 that climbing found its way into his life. He became passionate about all aspects of climbing including rock, ice and alpine climbing.

The experience he gained through teaching, coaching and climbing has led Joel to create a fun and learning oriented guiding service in the beautiful Flathead Valley. Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience what has brought Joel, and so many others, happiness and fulfillment in the great outdoors.
